The only thing is music

Well, it's been a week since Silver Stars Steel Orchestra won Panorama. I'm still in a state of shock...we really did it? we beat the big shots? an unsponsored steel pan side, beat the 'creme De la creme?' How is this possible?

Looking back on it, we had people from all over the world, we had a few blokes from St. Croix, four Japanese and six Americans. All learnt pan in their own different way, and yet, as an orchestra we clicked. It wasn't easy, and many a time I thought we weren't ready, but we pulled it off. Across language and cultural barriers we were able to create a sonic masterpiece.

The only thing that can cross all frontiers is music
